Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Commissioning Manager for a long-term contract in New Orleans, LA. The role leads pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities, ensuring safe and efficient turnover from construction to operations.

You will collaborate with engineering, EPCM partners, and operations teams to meet technical, safety, and schedule goals. Responsibilities include budget management, design reviews, development of turnover packages, and support for FATs/HAZOPs, with extensive field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 10+ years in commissioning, startup, or operations for industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of commissioning methodologies and operational readiness.
• Familiarity with engineering docs (P&IDs, process flow diagrams).
• Experience with CCMS, Aconex, and PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities across projects.
• Develop and manage commissioning budgets aligned with controls.
• Review design docs to understand scope and turnover requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations Readiness, Central Services, and contractors.
• Develop detailed schedules, execution plans, and procedures.
• Support FATs, HAZAN, and HAZOP activities.
• Ensure proper documentation in CCMS and turnover packages.
