Mortenson is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead project construction and contract administration with a focus on successful commissioning. The role involves planning and directing field testing, coordinating across disciplines, and coaching teams to resolve commissioning issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum eight years of construction management or commissioning experience.
• Mastery of the commissioning process, L0-L5, and QA/QC relationships.
• Knowledge of building systems across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, instrumentation, and controls.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Execute and direct functional performance testing in the field.
• Draft technical documents for issue resolutions, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Conduct training and educational sessions within your discipline.
• Communicate effectively across disciplines for construction coordination and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with contractors in the field to resolve commissioning issues during testing.
• Develop and coordinate system test procedures and oversee document control.
• Support business development and new project sales.
• Lead team members by example, offering coaching and feedback.
