Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Commissioning Manager to drive project construction and contract administration activities, focusing on successful commissioning and complex assignments. The role involves planning and executing commissioning strategies with independent judgment across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include developing commissioning plans, leading field tests (NETA, SCADA, controls), coordinating with the PM and scope team, and ensuring quality through QA/QC. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or 10 years of equivalent field experience.
• Six years of construction management or commissioning experience, preferably with an MEP contractor or commissioning firm.
• Experience with QA/QC and project documents within the project delivery process.
• Strong client relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scope of work technical reviews and provide detailed comments and recommendations.
• Develop commissioning specifications, plans, checklists and tests for collection and control systems.
• Lead field visits, observe inspections and tests, and provide guidance to contractors.
