Job summary

Dewberry’s Atlanta, GA office seeks a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer-Commissioning to step into the role of Deputy Department Manager within our Commissioning department. With 10+ years of experience, you will lead a team, develop projects, and expand our client base across Education, Healthcare, Industrial, and Federal markets from the East Coast.

You will report to the Commissioning Department Manager, enjoy hybrid work, and play a key role in delivering high-quality commissioning services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of engineering and commissioning experience.
• Proven commissioning experience.
• Commissioning process certification preferred or willing to acquire within 6 months.
• Business development experience is a plus.
• Self-motivated with leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Doer-seller: Find the work and execute it.
• Support and coordinate with commissioning team to execute projects.
• Review HVAC sequences of operation and testing procedures.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning across multiple control systems.
• Review TAB tests, visit facilities, and gather data.
• Create installation and testing documents; ensure safety compliance.
• Communicate with clients, trades, and design professionals.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time.
