Dewberry's Orlando, FL office is seeking a senior Mechanical or Electrical Engineer-Commissioning Agent to step into a Deputy Department Manager role. The team serves Education, Healthcare, Industrial, and Federal markets across the Eastern U.S.

This position offers leadership, growth, and a hybrid work option based on experience. You will inspect building systems, develop testing and closeout documents, and support client relationships while using cutting-edge tools to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of engineering and commissioning experience in building systems.
• Proven commissioning experience.
• Commissioning process certification preferred or willing to acquire within 6 months.
• Strong leadership and business development capabilities.
• Hybrid work available for this position based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Doer-Seller: Find the work and execute it.
• Coordinate with the commissioning team to execute projects and uphold our commitments.
• Inspect HVAC systems and create testing and closeout documents.
• Review HVAC control systems and testing procedures.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time.
