Job summary

ECNS Global Consultants PLLC seeks a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead major commissioning programs and oversee complex electrical and power system activities. You will review procedures, guide troubleshooting, and manage client coordination on site with tight timelines.

The role requires 10+ years of power systems experience, an ABET‑accredited electrical engineering degree, and a PE license. Expect extensive on-site travel and oversight of budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, startup, or power systems engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience with commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and startup of utility, industrial, generation, transmission, distribution, or substation electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead major commissioning programs from planning through final turnover.
• Oversee complex electrical and power system commissioning activities.
• Review and approve commissioning procedures, test plans, and technical reports.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of system issues.
• Manage client relationships and technical coordination.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
