Job summary

Dürr AG in Southfield, MI seeks an experienced Electrical Installation Supervisor to coordinate electrical installation on site, liaise with project management, engineering and site leadership, and ensure adherence to EN/US standards. This role requires extensive travel and a strong supervisory background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

• Willingness to travel up to 90%.

• Proficiency in MS Office.

• Communicate subcontractor equipment info to commissioning personnel.
• Generate change requests as needed.
• Conduct site coordination meetings (internal and subcontractors).
• Conduct pre job walk through to deal with demarcation issues.
• Provide commissioning for projects and products.
• Conduct equipment start-up and debug.
• Verify hardwired installation.
• Debug controls hardware and software.
• Record baseline data.
• Mark up drawing changes.
• Project performance and data collection.
• Generate reports as needed.
• Provide standby and customer support.
• Work on major projects or individually on smaller projects.

Your Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent too.
• Solid technical training (master craftsman, technician in the field of electrical installation or comparable)
• Knowledge and experience in the field of electrical production / installation
• Experience in the installation of electrical equipment of machines and plants
• Experience in the installation of power distribution systems and heavy-duty stations
• Experience in installation and measurements of networks (e.g. Ethernet, Profinet)
• Experienced in handling valid EN/US guidelines and standards (e.g. EN60204-1, UL508A, NEC, NFPA)
• Extensive travel required (90%)
• 3+ years of supervisory experience required
• Labor and union relations skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations (30 hour certified)
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
