Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group seeks a Commercial Underwriting Counsel to provide underwriting guidance on complex real estate transactions. This role targets a commercial real estate attorney or experienced title underwriter who will apply legal analysis to title matters and partner with internal teams and clients.

The candidate should have strong judgment, client-focused communication, and the ability to manage a diverse pipeline while applying underwriting standards and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
• Active Bar Admission in Florida or the state of residence for remote candidates.
• 5-7 years of title underwriting or related commercial real estate experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting guidance on issuance of title commitments and policies.
• Interpret and apply underwriting standards within delegated authority.
• Advise colleagues on real estate settlement procedures and requirements.
• Support resolution of title issues and guide transaction strategy.
• Communicate underwriting decisions to internal teams and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement.
