Job summary

HEXPOL Compounding Americas seeks an experienced technical leader to guide chemists and drive quality, safety and productivity across compounds, formulations, and raw materials. You will oversee development, document progress, and support Six Sigma initiatives.

You will collaborate with R&D, production, sales, and customers, managing trials, coordinating launches, and leading cost-saving programs while travel may be up to 60% to US and Mexico locations. Remote or hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering; experience may substitute.
• 7+ years leadership/supervisory experience in a technical setting.
• Working knowledge of Six Sigma, LEAN and ISO 9001/14001.
• Thorough knowledge of mixing and testing equipment and processes.
• Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to coach and develop associates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop commercial compound recipes to support sales activities.
• Coordinate new recipe developments from R&D through production and trials.
• Recommend improvements to customer formulations to add value.
• Manage and distribute projects for development, cost savings or raw material savings.
• Provide technical assistance with customer processing problems by phone or site visits.
• Coordinate new launch projects with management, sales and internal teams; follow trials.
• Establish and maintain key cost initiatives and VAVE programs.
• Travel to other HEXPOL locations or to customers as required.
• Perform other projects/tasks as assigned by Management.
