Ciena, a global leader in high-speed connectivity, seeks a Commercial Manager for the GCN region. You will shape and execute commercial strategy, lead complex deals, and provide data-driven guidance to regional leadership.

The role requires 10+ years in commercial management or related fields, strong financial modeling, and extensive Excel/PowerPoint use. Travel within the region is expected, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in commercial management, finance, or contract governance in a global/matrixed setting.
• Ability to build/interpret financial models, perform revenue recognition analysis, and assess cash flow and working capital.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial strategy and deal execution for the GCN region, aligning profitability, cash flow, risk, and growth objectives.
• Negotiate complex, high-value contracts and amendments, and identify material risks with mitigation plans.
• Develop and present executive-ready analyses and scenarios to regional and senior leadership.
• Drive pricing frameworks, approval thresholds, and governance standards across the region.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, Tax, and Operations to close deals.
