Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Foreman to lead field crews on large-scale commercial construction projects in the DMV region. You will coordinate daily plumbing operations, manage manpower and productivity, and ensure installations meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience, 2+ years of leadership, and the ability to read plumbing and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial plumbing or piping experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading crews or in a Foreman capacity.
• Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings, mechanical drawings, specs, and construction docs.
• Experience with domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty piping.
• Ability to coordinate with other trades on active construction projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to project locations throughout the DMV region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise plumbing crews on active commercial construction projects.
• Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Plan and sequence installations to maintain schedules and production goals.
• Monitor field productivity and adjust manpower as conditions change.
• Promote and enforce safety requirements and ensure project quality.
• Track production and labor performance to help maintain budgets.
