Job summary

A-1 Fleet Door Services Inc is seeking a Senior/Lead Commercial Overhead Door & Fire Door Technician to lead our commercial service operations in NH. You will manage complex service jobs, mentor technicians, and develop our commercial customer base while ensuring safety and high-quality installations.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years’ experience, strong door hardware knowledge, and a proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, with a focus on reliability and customer

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial overhead door experience.
• Strong rolling steel and fire door experience.
• Commercial operator/control troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to independently diagnose and complete complex service calls.
• Knowledge of door operators, springs, tracks, dock levelers, and related components.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems effectively.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and time management skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently in the field.
• Ability to build relationships with commercial customers and identify new service, repair, and preventative maintenance opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial overhead door service, repair and installation projects.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial door systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Service high-speed doors, dock levelers and related equipment.
• Lead and train other technicians in the field.
• Respond to service calls and complete repairs efficiently with minimal disruption to customers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals.
• Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and work orders.
• Communicate professionally with commercial clients on-site regarding repairs and recommendations.
