Job summary

Salem Five is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support loan operations and servicing from our Salem, MA offices. The role focuses on processing loans, reconciling accounts, and maintaining documentation while ensuring policy compliance.

The position requires strong communication, financial acumen, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Office-based work with collaboration across departments supports community-focused banking. Salary ranges reflect market levels for this region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5 years of experience in commercial lending, credit, or loan servicing a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong financial skills as it relates to account reconciliations.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and possess solid decision making skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
• Comfortable learning and operating multiple computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze loan packages to determine best course of action and board for core system entry.
• Process payments, advances, statements, notices, and escrow activities; adjust rates as agreed.
• Respond to inquiries; maintain and file loan records; image documents with QC controls.
• Update rate indexes daily in core system; manage loan and document controls.
• Monitor commercial loans in flood zones; ensure proper insurance with LOs guidance.
• Prepare payoff quotes, process payoff funds, and finalize discharges.
• Reconcile invoices; assist with new product testing and SOP updates.
