Seattle Legal Associates LLP in Seattle, WA seeks a Senior Commercial Litigation Counsel to join its litigation group. The ideal candidate manages matters and directs strategy, handles multiple high-stakes cases, drafts persuasive pleadings, and leads a team through hearings and trial.

Responsibilities include client communications, discovery, and active involvement in business development to grow the practice.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited institution.
• Current WSBA membership (licensed to practice in Washington).
• 10+ years of complex litigation experience.
• Track record leading complex cases through trial.
• Strong writing, critical thinking and judgment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Manage matters and clients independently, including directing case strategy.
• Handle multiple clients and cases at once, including real estate litigation, business and complex contract disputes, construction litigation, design professional liability claims and policyholder insurance coverage in state and federal court.
• Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, briefs and client correspondence.
• Prepare and respond to discovery.
• Attend and manage hearings, ADR and court proceedings, through trial.
• Handle communications with clients, courts and opposing counsel.
• Lead paralegals and staff supporting document and ESI work in complex litigation.
• Support the litigation group's development and take part in business development.
