Jewett City Savings Bank seeks a Senior Commercial Loan Officer to develop, negotiate terms, and service commercial loan relationships in Connecticut and Rhode Island. Based in a branch with travel within the market; remote/hybrid work is not offered.

Responsibilities include growing the portfolio, expanding relationships, and ensuring profitability. Requires 10+ years in commercial lending, CRE/C&I expertise, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or its equivalent plus specialized training in lending, credit or related subjects.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible commercial lending experience.
• Understanding of CRE and C&I lending and business financial statements.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of the business credit process.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Grow assigned portfolio and expand commercial relationships.
• Call on prospective and existing clients to nurture loan relationships and cross-sell bank services.
• Coordinate outside calling, branch appointments, and loan support tasks.
• Work with credit analyst to rate risk and ensure policy compliance; present loan requests.
• Review loan closings and renewals; maintain records per loan policies.
• Monitor borrowers' financial condition and analyze financial statements.
