Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Senior SCA Appliance Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on government furnished kitchen equipment. You will lead hands-on troubleshooting and mentor junior technicians on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 7+ years in commercial appliance repair preferred.
• 1–2 years of formal CFESA training or equivalent from a trade program.
• EPA 608 Certification required under Clean Air Act and EPA regulations.
• Sanitation program certification required.
• Certified Appliance Professional (CAP) or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair a variety of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Test and diagnose appliances using meters (wattmeter, ammeter, voltmeter).
• Mentor and train other technicians; ensure documentation and safety compliance.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time with regularity; adapt to client needs.
• Other duties may be assigned based on account requirements.

Education

High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience

7 years in commercial appliance repair

EPA Section 608 Technician Certification

Sanitation program certification

CAP or equivalent certification

Valid driver’s license

Tools
