Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a SCA Appliance Mechanic Senior in the United States. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on government-furnished food service equipment, ensuring reliable operation.

You’ll lead hands-on troubleshooting and mentor other technicians at the site. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 7+ years in commercial appliance repair, CFESA/vocational training, EPA 608, sanitation certification, and CAP or equivalent, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• 7+ years in the commercial appliance repair field.
• 1–2 years formal training in appliance repair from CFESA or accredited program.
• EPA 608 Technician Certification under Clean Air Act.
• Sanitation program certification.
• Certified Appliance Professional (CAP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair a variety of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Test and diagnose appliances using meters (wattmeter, ammeter, voltmeter).
• Mentor and train other technicians; ensure records keeping and safety compliance.
• Attend shifts on time with regularity; perform duties as required by accounts and client needs.

Workdays/shifts : Weekdays – morning and afternoon/evening shifts. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $40.17 per hour - $40.17 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a SCA Appliance Mechanic Senior at Sodexo, you are a hands‑on dynamic problem solver and leader. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance of government furnished food preparation and serving equipment to ensure it is in good working order. Using your experience, knowledge, and strong mechanical skills; you will troubleshoot a variety of appliance issues at the site.

Responsibilities include:

• Install, service, and repair a variety of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances

• Test and diagnostics appliances using meters as wattmeter, ammeter, or voltmeter.

• Support mentoring and training of other technicians and ensure proper record keeping and safety compliance

• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity

• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• High School diploma, GED Certificate, or equivalent experience

• Minimum of 7 years in the commercial appliance repair field

• 1-2 years of formal training in appliance repair from the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) or an accredited vocational school, or community college.

• Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Technician Certification under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act and EPA regulations.

• Certification from an approved sanitation program.

• Certified Appliance Professional (CAP) or equivalent.

• Additional Requirements:Possess a valid driver’s license
