Job summary

Structis in Connecticut is seeking a Commercial Insulation Estimator to drive accurate, competitive estimates for insulation projects across sectors. You will review plans, perform takeoffs, and prepare cost projections to support timely bid submissions.

The ideal candidate has at least five years estimating experience, strong insulation know-how, and proficiency with Microsoft Office plus Bluebeam or PlanSwift. You will collaborate with PMs and clients to meet budgets and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating.
• Strong understanding of insulation materials and installation techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift or similar tools).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and deliver quality estimates on time.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications to develop accurate estimates for Insulation work.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and create comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure estimates meet project requirements and expectations.
• Provide value engineering and alternative material recommendations to improve cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost reports for project submission.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and best practices.
