Job summary

The technician will install and troubleshoot central air systems, heat pumps, boilers, and related components, while ensuring compliance with PPE standards. Overtime and on-call duties may be required as part of campus facilities operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and HVAC experience.
• Refrigerant-handling certification is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment including central air systems, heat pumps, wall heaters and cold storage units.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, control circuitry and refrigerant circuitry.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records on equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial equipment.
• Serve as boiler operator as needed.
• Must wear PPE (safety shoes, hearing and eye protection) as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
