Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to install, service and commission commercial systems across RTUs, air handlers, VAVs and related equipment.

You will perform brazing, piping, start-ups, testing and preventive maintenance with a focus on safety, quality workmanship and on-site reliability. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in commercial HVAC, a Universal CFC certification, ability to work at heights, handle 50 lb lifts, and operate welding and cutting tools.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in maintaining similar type and size commercial equipment, along with a current Universal CFC certification.
• Experience with ladders, roofs, and attics; ability to climb stairs and extend heights.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts; basic electrical understanding.

Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC units, brazing, line sets, trimming refrigerant and charging.
• Install piping systems including drain piping, water lines, gas lines, valves and actuators.
• Install coils, compressors, condensers, fans, motors and related equipment.
• Perform start up, testing and commissioning on RTUs, AHUs, VAVs and other equipment.
• Test lines and joints for leaks; repair defective joints and perform preventive maintenance.
• Operate safely; use PPE and maintain good driving record.
