Join to apply for the Senior Commercial Field Underwriter role at WCF Insurance

WCF is an 'A' rated insurance carrier growing in the western states. The middle market underwriting department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as Senior Commercial Field Underwriter, reporting to the Director, Underwriting. This candidate needs to be in the Las Vegas area and will work from home with agency visits weekly.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk analysis to underwrite new and renewal accounts.
• Manage a book of business to achieve growth, retention, and profitability.
• Make sales and stewardship calls to agents.
• Manage agency relationships to support company growth.
• Coordinate claims, safety, and audit services on large accounts.
• Build the WCF brand and long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• At least five years of multiline underwriting experience.
• Experience with complex policies up to $1 million in premium.
• Knowledge of workers compensation manuals and guidelines.
• Established relationships with the producer community.
• Certifications such as CPCU, ARM, CIC preferred.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-starting abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.

WCF Insurance offers a comprehensive compensation package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, life insurance, 401K with a 6% match, and additional benefits. The salary range for Las Vegas is $100,000-$135,000 plus annual incentive bonus.

Internal candidates should have six months in their current role and notify their supervisor upon applying.
