Job summary

Construction One, Inc. is seeking an experienced estimator in Columbus, OH to join our estimating team. You will work on a range of projects for national clients, from remodels and TI’s to ground-up builds, with a hybrid work model and bonus program.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of estimating experience, BA in construction management, and strong drawings/ specifications interpretation. You will coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, and PMs to produce qualified bids.

Qualifications

• BA in construction management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7–10 years of estimating experience as a full-time estimator.
• Experience in retail, restaurant and ground-up construction preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and other documents.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and accurate cost estimates including scope definition, exclusions, quantity, size, configuration, options.
• Assure estimates, including general conditions, are accurate and reflect project requirements.
• Solicit subcontractor and material bids and maintain subcontractor lists.
• Review proposals and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope for timely bid submittals.
• Review historical data from purchase orders and subcontracts; support handoff to PMs and superintendents.
