Job summary

Hancock Whitney in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Loan Credit Specialist to review, renew, monitor, and decision commercial and CRE loan applications within a centralized environment. You will apply judgemental underwriting to loans up to your authority and support Relationship Managers and DAC.

The role requires evaluating financial statements, cash flow, debt service, and credit policy; you will prepare conditions for approval and communicate decisions across teams. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics required or preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of credit analysis or loan review experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide loan decisions and/or credit recommendations based on underwriting criteria.
• Review financial statements and project cash flow to assess debt service obligations.
• Adhere to credit policy and guidelines; communicate decisions to stakeholders.
• Identify and document conditions required to approve loans within authority.
