Job summary

Citi in Irving, TX is seeking a Commercial Credit Officer to own underwriting and portfolio management for mid-to-large technology clients. You will collaborate with relationship bankers and risk teams to deliver best-in-class outcomes across the credit lifecycle.

Responsibilities include detailed financial statement analysis, cash flow modelling, and monitoring of covenant compliance, with a focus on regulatory adherence and risk management within the DTC vertical.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of credit underwriting and portfolio management experience in commercial banking, with technology clients.
• Ability to analyze complex financial statements, cash flows, and multi-entity structures.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and their application in credit underwriting.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines.
• Clear and confident communicator, engaging with relationship managers and risk teams.
• Skilled at identifying and resolving complex credit issues balancing risk and objectives.
• Proficient in Excel and Word for financial modelling and data presentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end credit underwriting for new and existing commercial relationships, from pre-screening to approval and ongoing oversight.
• Assess creditworthiness through detailed financial analysis and trend/ratio review.
• Prepare comprehensive credit analyses with financing needs, risk factors, and recommendations.
• Monitor borrowers via monthly/quarterly reviews, track covenants, and escalate concerns.
• Oversee loan documentation and coordinate with internal/ external counsel to reflect terms.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate risk ratings across the portfolio.
• Mentor junior credit professionals and contribute to training within the team.
