Job summary

Citi is seeking a Commercial Credit Officer to own credit underwriting and portfolio management for mid-to-large U.S. commercial clients, with revenues from $100 million to $3 billion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of credit underwriting and portfolio management in a commercial or corporate banking environment.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial statements, cash flow positions, and industry-specific performance metrics.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and their practical application in a credit underwriting context.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Clear and confident communicator with stakeholders.
• Proficient in Excel for financial modeling and data presentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end credit underwriting for new and existing commercial relationships.
• Assess creditworthiness through financial statement, cash flow, and ratio analysis.
• Prepare written credit analyses outlining financing needs, risks, and recommendations.
• Monitor borrowers with regular financial reviews and covenant tracking.
• Oversee loan documentation with internal and external partners.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and proper risk ratings.
• Mentor junior credit professionals and support training initiatives.
