Job summary

County National Bank in Hillsdale, MI seeks an ON-SITE Credit Analyst III to underwrite and manage complex commercial credit relationships. You will prepare loan presentations, assess cash flow, collateral, and risk, and collaborate with lenders on structuring and pricing.

You will influence portfolio quality, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to regulatory compliance while supporting the bank's local communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial credit analysis or commercial banking.
• Demonstrated expertise in complex commercial loan structures and credit risk evaluation.
• Strong understanding of commercial loan structure, collateral, and credit risk management.
• Prior experience mentoring junior analysts.

Responsibilities

• Independently underwrites and analyzes complex commercial credit relationships, including new requests, renewals, and modifications.
• Prepares loan presentations for loan committee, including loan applications, financial statements, cash flow analysis, and risk assessments.
• Evaluates client financial statements, cash flow, and collateral structures.
• Monitors assigned commercial loan portfolios for performance and risk trends, recommending proactive mitigations.
• Partners with commercial lenders on deal structuring, pricing, and exception management.
• Maintains accurate files and documentation, and provides updates to business partners.
• Collaborates with Mortgage and Consumer lending to assess and grade commercial borrowers.
• Completes and updates reporting for Loan Committee or Board.
