Job summary

SEG Solar seeks a Deputy General Counsel in Houston, TX to support the General Counsel, COO and CEO in day-to-day legal affairs. The role emphasizes drafting and negotiating module purchase agreements, supplier agreements, and other commercial contracts while interfacing with customers and third parties.

The ideal candidate holds a JD, is admitted in a US jurisdiction, and brings extensive transactional experience, strong contract law knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• JD from a US law school and active license in any US jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of experience in legal transactional work, with exposure to UCC/commercial transactions and supply agreements for sales of goods.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and supplier agreements and other commercial contracts.
• Provide business-focused legal advice on contract terms, payment structures, insurance, bonding, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel on complex matters and maintain contract records.
