Job summary

Nike Inc. is seeking a senior commercial counsel to serve as a key legal resource within Global Contracting Services.

You will independently manage sophisticated agreements from intake to signature, lead negotiations, and align stakeholders on risk and strategy to enable enterprise-scale contracting. The role emphasizes practical guidance, scalable templates, and strong collaboration across Legal, Procurement, Finance and business teams, with opportunities to improve templates and workflows

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree or equivalent; Oregon license or in-house registration requirements.
• 8+ years of legal experience, including substantial commercial contracting.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating vendor, services, technology, marketing, platform and other commercial agreements.
• Strong ability to manage escalations and workloads across multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own complex commercial contracting matters from intake through signature, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements.
• Lead negotiations directly with vendors and develop practical strategies to resolve complex legal and commercial issues.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, advising senior business and Legal on contract structure, risk allocation and negotiation strategy.
• Coach junior lawyers, paralegals, contract specialists, ALSP resources and outside counsel to strengthen contracting capabilities.
