Perplexity is seeking a commercially minded attorney to own the full commercial legal lifecycle, drafting and negotiating MSAs, SaaS and API agreements, DPAs, partnerships and licensing. You will help the business move quickly while managing risk, and serve as a trusted advisor on AI-specific legal questions.

You’ll collaborate with product, engineering, security, and sales to close deals, build scalable legal infrastructure, and ensure compliance with data privacy standards.

Qualifikationen

• JD and active U.S. state bar membership.
• 5+ years in law firm or in-house with complex commercial tech agreements.
• Strong business acumen and partner with sales, product, engineering, and exec teams.
• Deep familiarity with data privacy/security frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, SOC 2, HIPAA).
• Experience with infrastructure agreements and compute procurement.
• Ability to translate legal concepts for non-lawyers.
• Hands-on, fast-paced, collaborative mindset.

Aufgaben

• Lead end-to-end drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements.
• Provide strategic counsel on legal risks across AI infrastructure and deployments.
• Advise on AI-specific legal considerations in contracts.
• Build scalable contract templates, playbooks, and CLM tools.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Finance, and Compliance teams.
