Perplexity's Legal team seeks a senior commercial attorney to lead end-to-end enterprise deals across financial services, healthcare, government, and other regulated sectors. You will negotiate enterprise agreements, collaborate with Sales, Product, Security, and Finance, and shape durable contract structures while navigating AI-related regulatory challenges.

• JD and in good standing with an active U.S. state bar membership.
• At least 7+ years of combined law firm and in‑house experience with substantial in‑house component.
• Experience advising on commercial terms and pricing structures for high‑growth SaaS/API businesses.
• Familiarity with data protection and security frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DORA, EU AI Act) and hands‑on DPAs.
• Strong business acumen and ability to partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Product, Security, and executive stakeholders on live deals.
• Proven ability to triage and progress multiple concurrent deals under tight timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to build and extend durable legal infrastructure—playbooks, templates, precedent repositories.
• Ability to translate legal concepts into usable guidance for non‑lawyers, including Sales and Deal Desk.
• Hands‑on, can‑do approach and judgment about escalation vs close.
• Positive collaborative attitude, comfort with ambiguity, and interest in AI technology.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end‑to‑end drafting, review, and negotiation of Enterprise customer agreements across our offerings: SaaS and API terms, DPAs, BAAs, and related documents.
• Partner with Enterprise Sales, Partnerships, Deal Desk, Security, Privacy, Product, and Finance to counsel on deals and accelerate velocity.
• Extend and maintain the enterprise negotiation playbook, DPA and Privacy Notice architecture, and term libraries.
• Advise on AI‑specific contract terms for enterprise deployments and data postures.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, Privacy, Finance, and Compliance to surface legal risk early.
• Monitor regulatory landscape for enterprise AI, data protection, and procurement, translating requirements into contracts.
• Represent the company legally on customer negotiation calls with counterparty counsel.
