Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to serve as the primary legal partner to leaders within a division, providing proactive counsel on contracts, risk mitigation, and strategic initiatives.

The role involves drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, coordinating with Litigation, Regulatory, and Compliance teams, and ensuring contractual compliance for domestic and international business relationships.

Qualifications

• Juris doctor with high academic achievement.
• Licensed to practice law.
• 5+ years in large complex org or top law firm preferred.
• Commercial/transactional experience required; healthcare law knowledge preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive legal advice to contracting business clients across the enterprise.
• Draft and negotiate contracts; ensure compliance and protect business interests.
• Manage high-volume workload and identify risks.
• Collaborate with Litigation, Privacy, Regulatory Counsel, and Compliance teams.
• Assist in process improvements and contract template enhancements.
• Liaise with internal teams and external parties to secure favorable terms.
