Job summary

CORE Construction Services of Florida, LLC seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee mid to large-scale commercial projects in the Fort Lauderdale area. The PM will guide multiple projects and staff, review plans, prepare our General Conditions, and set baseline schedules for subs.

You will track costs, handle change orders, RFIs and pay applications, and manage subcontractors and documentation for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience as a project manager for a commercial construction company.
• Professional Degree in construction management, architecture or a related field is preferred.
• Detailed understanding of construction project sequencing and scheduling.
• Advanced understanding of drawings, specifications and constructability.
• Ability to negotiate, write and execute all subcontract agreements.
• Willingness to relocate to or near Fort Lauderdale, FL.
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam and Procore.
• Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods.
• Team player committed to client service; valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more construction phase projects and staff for institutional clients.
• Review plans and specs to ensure accuracy and establish baseline schedules.
• Prepare general conditions and manage costs, RFIs, change orders and owner pay apps.
• Oversee document control, shop drawings and submittals; write subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and conduct regular jobsite coordination meetings.
• Maintain client relationships and provide ongoing project communication.
• Serve as a team leader and mentor to younger team members.
