Job summary

The Weitz Company seeks a Senior Project Manager in West Palm Beach, FL to lead complex commercial construction projects from inception to handover. You will drive schedule, budget, quality, safety, and stakeholder communications, partnering with clients and internal teams to achieve project goals.

Candidate must have 10+ years of experience with GC projects, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage education, municipal, hospitality, aviation, or senior living builds.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience.
• Commercial construction experience with a general contractor (GC) required.
• Experience in education, municipal, hospitality, aviation, and/or senior living construction required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex construction projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time completion, budget adherence, and high quality.
• Provide direction to project teams and foster a collaborative environment while managing team performance.
• Lead client and stakeholder communication, manage expectations, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Prepare and manage project schedules, identify long-lead items, update plans, and initiate changes as needed.
• Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Complete monthly project status reports, owner billings, and financial risk assessments.
• Identify value engineering and scope reduction opportunities.
• Implement QA/QC programs to meet standards and identify improvement areas.
