Job summary

The Bartley Corporation in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a Commercial Concrete General Superintendent to lead multiple commercial projects in the field, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality within budget. Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial concrete construction experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of concrete forming, foundations, slabs, walls, reinforcing, and placement.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and crew-management skills.
• Understanding of construction scheduling, labor productivity, and job-cost management.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily concrete field operations
• Lead foremen, crews, subcontractors, and field activities
• Coordinate concrete pours, forming, reinforcing, excavation, and related operations
• Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and job requirements
• Monitor labor productivity, job costs, and project schedules
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and deliveries
• Conduct daily and weekly planning with project teams
• Maintain high standards for concrete quality and workmanship
• Enforce OSHA and company safety policies
• Identify field issues early and work with Project Managers to develop solutions
• Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
