Job summary

Bartley Corporation in Maryland seeks an experienced Commercial Concrete General Superintendent to lead multiple commercial concrete projects in the field, ensuring safety, efficiency, schedule adherence, and quality and budget compliance. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

The successful candidate will supervise foremen, crews, and subcontractors, coordinate pours, forming, and placement, and maintain project documentation,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial concrete construction experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and crew-management skills.
• Understanding of scheduling, labor productivity, and job-cost management.
• Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily concrete field operations.
• Lead foremen, crews, subcontractors, and field activities.
• Coordinate concrete pours, forming, reinforcing, excavation, and related operations.
• Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and job requirements.
• Monitor labor productivity, job costs, and project schedules.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and deliveries.
• Conduct daily and weekly planning with project teams.
• Maintain high standards for concrete quality and workmanship.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
• Identify field issues early and work with Project Managers to develop solutions.
• Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.
