Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Commercial Architect to lead design and delivery of architectural projects in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment. The role involves producing design documentation, coordinating with consultants, and guiding teams from concept to construction, with strong emphasis on Revit/AutoCAD proficiency and code compliance.

Candidates will bring 10+ years of experience, a NAAB-accredited degree, and a current architecture license.

Qualifications

NAAB-accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture.
Current architectural license/registration.
10+ years progressive architectural experience with increasing responsibility.
Experience in commercial architecture and/or mission critical facilities.
Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; strong Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Office.
Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning, and construction methods.

Responsibilities

Lead projects from conception to completion for commercial and mission critical types.
Prepare and coordinate drawings and BIM models across phases.
Develop schematic and design development concepts with leadership.
Coordinate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
Review construction documents for accuracy and constructability.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to studio leadership.
Maintain client relationships and support permits & regulatory reviews.
