Job summary

NewGen Technologies has an opening for a Command & Telemetry (C&T) Network Engineer. This technical role includes solution and design engineering for government networks across WAN, LAN, CAN, and other networks supporting multiple classifications.

Responsibilities include lifecycle collaboration and engineering leadership. The candidate will design, implement, and support network architectures, provide technical direction, and generate deployment documentation.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI CI Poly Clearance required.
• 8570 Compliance required.
• 16 years of combined work history and education (e.g., Doc +8 yrs, MS +10 yrs, BS +12 yrs, etc.).
• Must be compliant with DoD 8140 IAT Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Regularly support the technical assessment and delivery of a specific technical network solution to the customer.
• Provide a key support role in operating as a high-performance team across lifecycle stages.
• Provide technical direction and engineering for Command and Telemetry solutions using KRATOS T500MX-XC or ARKA P&DBs (Packet & Data Buffers). A basic sysadmin understanding of Linux is acceptable.
• Understand RS422 serial communications including RS533 specifications and cabling.
• Provide direction for network systems infrastructure activities including planning, designing, and implementing network infrastructure for buildings and systems (Routers, Switches, BGP, VRF, VLAN, NTP).
• Generate installation plans, procedures, templates, and training docs for deployment.
• Perform transition from existing to new network design solutions.
• Provide consulting on efforts, solution design, system management, tuning, and modification of solutions.
• Collect and determine data to assist in identifying customer needs.
• Respond to customer technical information requests.
• Develop customer technology solutions using various industry products and technologies.
