Job summary

NewGen Technologies seeks a Command & Telemetry (C&T) Network Engineer to design and engineer government network infrastructures across WAN, LAN, CAN, CI and telemetry networks with multi-classification levels. The role encompasses solution engineering and collaboration with other engineering teams to support complex network projects.

Qualifications

• Must hold TS/SCI CI Poly clearance.
• 16 years of experience combining work history and education.
• Must comply with DoD 8140 IAT Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Support technical assessment and delivery of a specific network solution to the customer.
• Provide technical direction for network infrastructure planning, design, and implementation (Routers, Firewalls, DNS, IPAM, NTP, Telemetry).
• Create installation plans, procedures, templates, and training docs for deployment.
• Orchestrate transition from existing to new network designs.
• Provide technical consulting on design, system management, tuning.
• Collect data to determine customer needs.
• Respond to customer technical information requests.
• Develop customer tech solutions using industry products.

Job description

NewGen Technologies has an opening for The Command &Telemetry (C&T) Network Engineer. The C&T Network Engineeris a technical role which includes solution and design engineering functions for government passive and active network infrastructures. The candidate will be responsible for C&T Network Engineering and supporting other engineering teams for all network design and engineering activities. These engineering activities will be conducted on the government’s wide area networks (WAN), the local area networks (LAN), Campus Area Networks (CAN), Access and Control Interfaces (CI), Command and Telemetry and other networks that support multiple classification levels of communications.

Responsibilities

• Regularly support the technical assessment and delivery of a specific technical network solution to the customer
• Providea key support role in operating as a conducive high-performance team across all lifecycle stages
• Provide technical direction and engineering expertise for network systems infrastructure activities, including planning, designing, and implementing communications and network infrastructure requirements for buildings and systems (Routers, Firewalls, DNS, IPAM, NTP, Command and Telemetry)
• Generate installationplans, procedures, templates, and training documentation, which will be used by other service team members to efficiently deploy C&T solutions
• Perform/Conductthe transition/transformation from existing to new network design solutions
• Providetechnical consulting and advice to others on efforts, solution design, system management, tuning and modification of solutions
• Collectand determinedata from appropriate sources to assist in determining customer needs and requirements
• Respond to requests for technical information from customers
• Developcustomer technology solutions using various industry products and technologies

Requirements

• TS/SCI CI Poly Clearance
• 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years, master’s and 10 years, bachelor’s and 12 years, associates and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years.
• Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
