Job summary

Hyliion in Milford, Ohio is seeking a Senior Combustion Engineer to advance combustion system development and testing on premier propulsion programs. This onsite role requires hands-on lab work, instrumentation, and collaboration with design and test teams to ensure robust performance.

The candidate will hold a Bachelor's in a related engineering field with 5+ years of relevant experience, plus familiarity with ANSYS Fluent/CFX and 1D reactor network modeling tools (Cantera/CHEMKIN).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
• At least 5 years of professional engineering experience that includes hands-on combustion testing, combustion lab instrumentation, or combustion system development.
• Experience using ANSYS Fluent or CFX for combustion or fluid aerodynamic analysis.
• Hands-on experience building or running 1D reactor network models in Cantera or CHEMKIN.
• This role is fully onsite in Milford, Ohio; able to work onsite daily.
