CFD Research Corporation in Huntsville, AL is seeking a CFD Developer/Analyst specializing in combustion to support large-scale CFD simulations and chemical kinetic modeling. You will work within the Aerospace and Defense Solutions Division on NASA and DoW projects, developing reacting-flow models and presenting results.

Candidates hold MS/PhD in engineering, have experience with Cantera/Chemkin, CFD modeling, and strong C++/Python skills, and can work independently and in teams. U.S.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
• Experience simulating reacting flow with Cantera, Chemkin, or similar.
• 2+ years of CFD model development or advanced numerical methods.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and software design skills.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, and shell languages.
• Git version control and software development best practices.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and in teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support development of chemical-kinetic modeling for large-scale CFD.
• Work within the Aerospace and Defense Solutions Division on NASA/DoD programs.
