Job summary

OUC - The Reliable One in Orlando seeks a Combined Cycle Power Generation Engineer to support Power Plant Operations & Maintenance, lead plant modification and capital projects, and ensure safe, efficient generation. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 4+ years in CCGT, and hands-on project leadership.

Preferred qualifications include PE or PMP, strong knowledge of LOTO and NERC/CIP, and ability to coordinate with craft labor and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of four years engineering experience in supporting CCGT power plants and project execution.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write technical specifications and scope for plant projects, maintain budgets, assist Purchasing with RFPs and bid evaluations.
• Provide technical support for O&M; review data to ensure safe, efficient generation.
• Supervise plant modifications and contractors during all project phases.
• Write and develop technical specifications for plant projects.
• Assist Purchasing with RFPs, vendor evaluations and negotiations.
• Prepare budget justifications based on safety, environment, technology changes, and efficiency.
• Review plans, drawings, safety procedures, LOTO, schedules, and update manuals; manage contracts.
• Inspect test results and equipment conditions to ensure best practices.
• Troubleshoot plant processes to identify root causes and repairs.
• Generate budget proposals for management and CAPEX Committee.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
