Job summary

Unimacts is hiring a Combi-Lift Operator for our Sloan, Nevada facility to move oversized cargo (20+ feet wide) using 5-ton and 10-ton combi-lift equipment. You will assess dimensions, weight distribution, and clearance, then position and secure loads with the ground crew.

This role requires experience with heavy equipment, wide-load logistics, and strong communication to ensure safety and efficiency. Shift options include 1st (5AM-3:30PM) and 2nd (3:30PM-2AM).

Qualifications

• Proven combi-lift experience and 5-ton minimum capability.
• Background in heavy equipment or wide-load freight logistics.
• Ability to judge clearance and balance for wide loads.
• Strong communication with ground crew during moves.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Operate 5-ton and 10-ton combi-lift equipment to move oversized cargo (20+ feet wide).
• Assess load dimensions, weight distribution, and clearance before lifts.
• Position and secure oversized loads, accounting for wide turning radii and balance.
• Coordinate with ground crew and spotters during moves.
• Load/unload components from flatbeds, trailers, or rail cars.
• Inspect loads and equipment before and after transport for safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic upkeep of combi-lift machinery.
• Maintain records of weights, dimensions, and movement logs.
• Identify and report mechanical or safety concerns with heavy equipment.
