Job summary

Financial Pacific Leasing, Inc. is seeking a Collections Specialist to maintain effective NPA delinquent account collections. You will contact lessees by phone, mail, and in person to resolve past-due contracts, negotiate resolutions, and prepare necessary documentation.

The role requires strong telephone skills, data entry accuracy, and adherence to FDCPA/UDAAP standards. Onsite position at Federal Way, WA with a competitive hourly pay band and potential incentive opportunities.

  • Previous collections experience required; leasing/contract environment preferred.
  • Strong telephone customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare settlement packets and forbearance options as needed within authority or with management approval.
  • Ensure compliance with UDAAP and FDCPA tenets and maintain complete collection notes.

Established in 1975, Financial Pacific Leasing, Inc. (a subsidiary of Columbia Bank), is a direct provider of small-ticket commercial equipment leases. FinPac originates business through partnering with vendors, third party originators and lessors nationwide. For over 50 years, these partners have relied on Financial Pacific to provide them with innovative financing solutions for their customers

About the Role:

Responsible for maintaining acceptable Effectiveness Collection Percentages on NPA delinquent accounts. Effectively communicate with both internal and external customers to resolve delinquent contracts. Utilize all internal and external resources available to establish contact, identify appropriate courses of resolution to protect the Company’s interest and to execute the resolution plan in a timely manner. Maintain acceptable levels of productivity; i.e. call volumes, in order to properly service portfolio. Communicates with Lessees that are 91-120 days past due (NPA additions), by telephone, mail and personal contact. Possesses and demonstrates strong telephone customer service skills. Responsible to meet and exceed goals (specifically NPA). Responsible for making resolution arrangements when accepting less than total due. Assists in negotiating and resolution of insurance issues on delinquent 91-120 day accounts undefined Ensures collection of late charges and miscellaneous fees as appropriate. Maintains complete and accurate collection notes on collection screens so that others will be able to understand conversations, promises and payment plans arranged with Lessees. Prepares repossession authorization packets as needed. Meets individual call volume as assigned by management and calls are made in a professional manner. Performs extensions, rewrites, purchase agreements and forbearance agreements as needed within their authority level or with approval of management. Prepare files for Attorney Demand Letters/Litigation packets when necessary. Prepares Settlement packets to include FMV’s and Credit Bureau Requests. Maintains current knowledge and adherence of UDAAP and FDCPA tenets. Notifies Supervisor or Manager of any significant situations that may cause harm or loss to the company. Provides highest level of Customer Service to all lessees, vendors, brokers and staff. Maintains confidentiality of all company information. Develops and maintains positive relationships with all Financial Pacific Company managers and staff. Assists and supports other staff as needed. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality. Performs all other duties as assigned by management. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words. About You:

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Previous collections experience required. Collection experience in a leasing/contract environment or equivalent preferred. Data entry skills and the ability to multi-task. Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems. Consistently demonstrates ability and willingness to build relationships with associates. Ability to think critically and provide appropriate solutions. Requires reading, writing and basic math skills. The pay range for this role is $22.00 - $25.50. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
