Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking a Senior Collaboration Engineer to design, implement, and support collaboration services for consulting clients. You will build customer-focused relationships to identify business challenges and develop specifications for optimal solutions.

The role involves leading multiple internal teams, researching new products, maintaining vendor certifications, and meeting annual billable hour goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a technical related field.
• CCNP or equivalent level certifications.
• Experience designing and architecting Collaboration based solutions.
• Installing and supporting Collaboration solutions.
• Strong VoIP troubleshooting skills.
• Experience deploying VoIP Protocols – SIP, H323, MGCP, QoS, G711/G729.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute as part of the HBS collaboration team, providing consultative and proactive project support.
• Collaborate across multiple internal teams to ensure successful delivery of the scope of work.
• Research new products, enhance configuration standards, and educate team on products to improve sales process.
• Provide senior-level support, maintenance, and administration for customer networks.
• Maintain a positive, professional team atmosphere across regional and virtual practices.
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation for time estimates and scopes.

Description

The Senior Collaboration Engineer role will develop, implement, and support collaboration services and solutions for consulting clients. Build a customer-focused relationship with client to identify business challenges and develop specifications and requirements to arrive at the best solution.

Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:

• Work as a member of the HBS collaboration team as a leader and contributor that provides consultative and proactive project support to HBS’s account base.
• Collaborate and be a Leader across multiple internal teams to ensure successful delivery and timely of the scope of work
• Research new products for selection, enhance configuration standards and best practices and educate team members on these products and services to enhance the sales process.
• Provide senior level support, maintenance, and administration for customer networks and review for other potential concerns or enhancement opportunities.
• Work in and always model a positive team atmosphere between regional and virtual practices while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of past projects to potentially provide time estimates and project scopes for new related projects.
• Create and maintain current vendor/industry specific certifications and stay current on new products and solutions by utilizing networks of resources.
• Meet annual billable hour goal, as defined by HBS. This number may change over time as the business evolves.
