Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with large National cold formers preferred or equivalent machine knowledge.
• Ability to read and write English and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Proficient use of measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Familiarity with header tooling and equipment (progressive/non-progressive setups).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cold heading machines performing multi-operation tasks on large National cold formers.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality per specifications.
• Read blueprints and work orders to determine tolerances and sequences.
• Adjust controls and tooling to synchronize machine operations and set pressures.
• Observe operations for malfunctions and ensure setups conform to specs.
• Replace tooling as needed and perform developmental setups on new parts.
• Operate forklifts/hand trucks to move materials safely.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Collaborate with teammates and assist coworkers as needed.
