Job summary

Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. in Frederick, MD seeks a senior Enterprise Reporting Analyst to design, build, and maintain IBM Cognos reports and dashboards for finance, HR, and projects.

You will develop semantic models, optimize SQL queries, and integrate with Power BI/Tableau as needed, while ensuring secure access and data integrity. Earned degree or 5+ years of enterprise reporting experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience required.
• Minimum of five years developing enterprise reporting solutions with IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Expert knowledge of IBM Cognos Analytics, Framework Manager, Report Authoring, and Dashboard Authoring.
• Strong data modeling experience and semantic layer design.
• Experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases and writing complex SQL.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reports in IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visual analytics; potentially cross-referencing with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
• Modify and troubleshoot existing reports based on user feedback or changing business requirements.
• Perform data modeling and maintain Framework Manager models and data modules.
• Update models as underlying source systems change (e.g., Deltek Costpoint).
• Ensure the semantic layer accurately reflects business logic for Finance, HR, or Project Accounting data.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries against Oracle or SQL Server; develop stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Diagnose and resolve query performance issues; review execution plans and tuning.
• Explain and mentor junior developers; lead technical initiatives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
