Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems is seeking a Coding Compliance Auditor to conduct independent audits of professional fee coding under the guidance of the Coding Compliance Manager.

The role requires advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and physician documentation, with experience in Medicare/Medicaid regulations. You will train physicians on ICD-10-CM and EMR documentation to ensure accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
• CPMA and CPC/Coding certifications required or preferred.
• 5+ years auditing or coding compliance in physician practice; 7+ years coding/billing in outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs audits of medical record documentation to support codes.
• Communicates audit findings to physicians and staff with references.
• Researches compliance and coding issues as needed.
• Schedules meetings with providers to review findings.
