Job summary

Inherent Technologies is seeking an experienced Code Administrator to join our Code Management team in Dallas, onsite, on a 1-year engagement. You will optimize CI/CD workflows, drive infrastructure modernization, and mature our automation ecosystem using GitLab, Terraform, and Ansible.

The role requires 8+ years in administration across complex applications, plus strong CM, cloud, and security posture skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Administration experience in multiple complex applications and tools.
• Software Configuration Management expertise.
• Experience administering GitLab, Artifactory, Xray, SonarQube.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Understanding and working knowledge of containerization on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud.
• Strong communication skills and cross-team collaboration.
• Experience configuring GitLab Runners, Groups, Projects, and Permissions at scale.
• Harden GitLab for enterprise usage (SAML/SSO, LDAP, RBAC, backup/restore).
• Design, implement, and optimize complex GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
• Leverage Terraform, Ansible, or similar to provision and manage self-hosted GitLab and runners.
• Implement GitOps practices to manage infrastructure and environment configurations.
• Automate operational tasks and incident remediation via pipelines and scripts.
• Onboarding application teams to GitLab workflows and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage GitLab Runners, Groups, Projects, and Permissions at scale.
• Mature automation ecosystem and pipelines across teams.
• Provision and manage self-hosted GitLab environments using Terraform/Ansible.
• Implement GitOps for infrastructure and environment configurations.
• Collaborate with application teams to onboard to GitLab workflows.
• Develop runbooks and templates; maintain monitoring integrations (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK).
• Provide 24/7 on-call support and incident remediation.
