Job summary

Inherent Technologies is seeking an experienced Code Administrator to join our Code Management team in Dallas, onsite, on a 1-year engagement. You will optimize CI/CD workflows, drive infrastructure modernization, and mature our automation ecosystem using GitLab, Terraform, and Ansible.

The role requires 8+ years in administration across complex applications, plus strong CM, cloud, and security posture skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Administration experience in multiple complex applications and tools.
• Software Configuration Management expertise.
• Experience administering GitLab, Artifactory, Xray, SonarQube.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Understanding and working knowledge of containerization on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud.
• Strong communication skills and cross-team collaboration.
• Experience configuring GitLab Runners, Groups, Projects, and Permissions at scale.
• Harden GitLab for enterprise usage (SAML/SSO, LDAP, RBAC, backup/restore).
• Design, implement, and optimize complex GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
• Leverage Terraform, Ansible, or similar to provision and manage self-hosted GitLab and runners.
• Implement GitOps practices to manage infrastructure and environment configurations.
• Automate operational tasks and incident remediation via pipelines and scripts.
• Onboarding application teams to GitLab workflows and best practices.

• Design, implement, and optimize complex GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML best practices

• Implement policies and guardrails to ensure code quality, compliance, and security posture
• Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD or migration-related incidents in a timely manner
• Available for 24/7 On-call support

Preferred

• A BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with good scripting/programming skills
• GitLab Certified Administrator
• Recent experience administering GitLab Self-Managed
• Prior software experience with build management, configuration management and/or quality testing
• Experience with SCM practices including Agile, continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
