Job summary

CSG Consultants, Inc. is hiring a Code Enforcement Officer II in California. The role involves inspecting properties, enforcing codes, and advising the public. You will learn jurisdictional regulations, prepare documentation, and coordinate with staff to ensure compliance.

Required are a high school diploma, CA driver’s license, PC 832, and CACEO/ICC/AACE certifications within set timelines. Local travel and client site visits are likely.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Class “C” California driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
• Experience as a Code Enforcement Officer for at least one year or related public interaction experience.
• Pass and obtain a PC 832 Certification within six months of placement.
• Must acquire CACEO/ICC/AACE certification within two years.
• Ability to perform as a Code Enforcement Officer II.

Responsibilities

• Work respectfully and collaboratively with the public, jurisdictional staff, and CSG employees.
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all parties.
• Maintain accurate and confidential file and record keeping for assigned matters.
• Enforce laws and testify in legal proceedings when required.
• Become proficient in databases and resources used.
• Safekeeping for company and jurisdictional property.
• Adhere to procedures and directives.
• Require driving to assigned locations and sites.
• Perform other related duties as required.
